The window boxes can also be fixed to any house or garden wall should you require a convenient, waist height plant pot or planter support. We can also offer different designs if your window box needs to match any specific architectural ironwork.
Materials
All of our materials are sourced from British suppliers. We use solid steel to manufacture every product in our ranges. Once the product has been made, it is hot dip zinc galvanized to a recognised British Standard EN ISO 1461 to form a corrosion resistant finish.
Finishes
The product on this page is available in the finishes shown above, is made from solid steel then hot dip zinc galvanized before finishing. To view these finishes in more detail and for more information about each one, please visit our Finishes page. Bespoke finishes to order.
Measuring advice
To ensure that you order the correct size of window box, please measure the width of the window from wall to wall, and the width of the sill. We recommend that the window box is at least 6”/150mm wider than the window (3”/75mm longer both ends) for aesthetic reasons and to ensure that the side fixing aren’t drilled too close to the edge. Get in touch with us if in any doubt or for any specific measuring advice.
Installation
Our window boxes have four corner eyelets through which to fix the hexagonal head coachscrews (supplied). You may choose to rest the lower, inner edge of the window box on the window sill if you wish. Rest the window box against the wall and mark the hole centres prior to drilling and fixing the window box to the façade, always ensuring that the holes are drilled deeply enough to accommodate the rawlplugs and screws.
