news window boxes on great pulteney street

Great Pulteney Street is one of the finest and most famous streets in the city of Bath. Commissioned by Sir William Pulteney and completed by architect Thomas Baldwin in 1789, the street is lined with elegant Georgian façades rich with original period features. The Dukes Hotel on Great Pulteney Street commissioned Garden Requisites to create a set of bespoke curved and straight window boxes to complement the large sash windows at the front of the property, and the company worked closely with the hotel to ensure the final design was in keeping with the original architecture of the street. “We are often asked to replace lost or damaged original features or to make new but authentic, period-style additions for properties where architectural heritage is important,” explains John Thurman of Garden Requisites. “The Dukes Hotel has a prestigious address and we are proud of the fact that every day hundreds of hotel guests, visitors and local residents can appreciate our work as they walk down Great Pulteney Street.”
